rice with potatoes and green peas

Hi guys, I hope I have written my recipe in the selectio right. If I've got the wrong you move the post. thanks :) ( sorry for my english)
It is starting the cold and we decided to make this main course

Ingredients for 5 portion:
1/2 onion
3-4 medium potatoes
300 gr.green peas
400 gr rice
oil, salt

We put in the pot, oil and onion.Put on low heat. When the onion become golden, add the green peas and later add the potatoes peeling and cut into large pieces. Add the glass of water. Add one pinch the salt or one stock cube.Leave at boil on low heart capped.



When 10 minutes remove the cover.Prepare the pot with water for rise and put on the fire.
When 20 minutes from beginning preparation put out and wait the cooking the rice. Add the rice in the pot with potatoes and peas. Serve





Note:
> I prefer frozen peas, because it are better
> you try the potatoes before of put out
> the portion are abundant
> choose the rice that keep the cooking, the rice for risotto (soup... I can't explain).
> I added the zucchini flowers.

Rice, peas and potatoes yummy! Seems to me peas may get over cooked, would put them in at the end.

Nice! Is this a recipe that is common in your country? I'm curious as my husband is Northern Italian..... :)
