What's a good cheese for tossed salad?

I eat a green salad often, and love cheese in it. Most of the time, I top it with feta, but would like some variety.

What other kinds of cheeses should I try?

I generally don't like cheese on my salad if I make one homemade.
Otherwise, any cheese seems fine.
Don't know about anyone else.

aside from the usual cheddar - which can be cubed, julienne or (large) grated

cubed:
Butterkase Boars Head
Cheese, Fontina
Cheese, Muenster
Mozzarella Fresh Galbani

julienned:
swiss

I picked up some gorganzola. Think I'll try some shredded cheddar, too.

The Butterkase Boar's Head sounds interesting!

Thanks, folks!

Thanks, LT!

Love your quote, LOL! I admire James Patterson's mind!

Had some mitzithra left over from our Greek feast.

Similar consistency to goat cheese. Tangy. Delicious.

Love a wedge salad with Roquefort dressing and crumbles. My favorite Roquefort is the black label made by Papillon in France. Last time I was there, I brought back 2 kilos of it.

It's been years since I've had a wedge salad. Been years since I've bought iceberg lettuce. But it sounds good to me now, Craig!
