Spinach Manicotti


8 dried manicotti shells
½ c ricotta cheese
1/4 cup sliced green onions
½ c grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small jar original Prego sauce
2 T butter
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 beaten egg
1 pkg dry spaghetti sauce mix
1 10 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained

Cook manicotti about 18 minutes or till tender but still firm. Drain well and cool. Cook green onions and garlic in butter til tender.
For filling, in mixing bowl stir together egg, spinach, ricotta cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Fill shells with filling and arrange in 2 quart rectangular baking dish.

Stir together Prego sauce, tomato sauce and dry spaghetti sauce mix. Pour over shells.
Bake in 350 F oven 35 to 40 minutes or til heated through.
