1 lb lean ground beef
1 t sugar
1 t black pepper
2 t mustard
6 oz can of beer

Mix all in large pot and cover for 30 minutes, cooking and stirring occasionally.
Uncover and continue--allowing some of the liquid to reduce.
Using slotted spoon, serve on toasted burger buns with chopped onion and dill chips.

The only thing I would change would be to toast the bread, but I am kinda funny that way when it comes to white bread, LOL.
I am a big fan of loose meat, never tried making it with beer though, thanks!

I've never had a loose meat sandwich. Doesn't the stuff all fall out when you pick it up?

That's why I never eat Sloppy Joes or crunchy tacos. Damned annoying.

HELLO!!!!!! DW thinks I'm crazy for not liking loose meat sammies like tacos and sloppy joes. More of it ends up on the plate than stays in the sandwich. Now I can tell her there's someone else out there finds it annoying.

If you make it as an open face sandwich to be eaten with knife & fork, I can handle that, but don't expect me to like a soup sandwich.
