This is an old time TNT recipe from the kitchen of the late Iva Kidder
Best Ever Cake aka Roane County Cake
Cake:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 15oz can crushed undrained pinapple
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
2 eggs; well beaten
pinch salt
Stir well & bake in a greased & floured 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 40-45 minutes.
FROST CAKE AS SOON AS IT COMES OUT OF THE OVEN with:
1 Stick of butter
8oz of Cream Cheese
1 1/2 cups of powered sugar (or more)
Beat well
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Sprinkle with chopped nuts
MIX CAKE AND TOPPING BY HAND!!!!!!
Guaranteed to be a HIT!!!!!!!!!
