4 medium yellow onions - peeled and halved
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup low-sodium beef broth
2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon dried rubbed sage
1/4 cup (1 ounce) finely shredded Gruyère cheese

Arrange onions, cut sides up, in a single layer in a shallow 2-quart baking dish coated with cooking spray.

Brush tops of onions with oil; sprinkle with pepper and salt. Bake at 400° for 40 minutes.

Add broth and soy sauce; bake 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes.

Sprinkle sage and cheese evenly over onions. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serving size: 2 onion halves.

Looks yummy! Sadly, DW isn't a big onion fan, so it may be a while before I get to make this. But thanks - it looks great!

Well I guess I've got a big mouth too.......because a couple of those I could fit the WHOLE thing in my mouth!!

Just make one or two Keltin, the time will be reduced also.

Don't get me started!! :yum:

But you're right, I could throw 1-2 of these on the grill as we cook other things. We often cook different stuff for each other, so yeah.....I'll throw a couple of these on the grill and go to town!!! Can't wait!! :thumb:

My favorite are Bbq'd Onions (directly on the coals if possible) but I have a feeling it I were to try one of those I'd have a new favorite!!! YUM! :D
