My brother and I grew up in the small town of Walpole, MA. This past weekend, my father and I went back to visit the town, and to have lunch in our favorite restaurant of long ago, the Red Wing Diner.

It's still a no-frills place, with the most wonderful food, enormous portions, and reasonable prices.

Dad and I both had a fried oyster roll, with sweet, tender oysters spilling over the roll, and hand-cut onion rings and spectacular fries! Had to take half of it all home!

"Phantom Gourmet" is a local TV and radio restaurant review show that continually gives rave reviews to the Red Wing. Still deserved!

In the event that you are ever in the area, say to see a Patriots game at Gillette Stadium, just up the road, definitely stop in at the Red Wing Diner!
