As usual, your garden photos are wonderful, Saliha!

I was particularly struck by the photo of your lovely Morning Glory!

I am not a religious person, but I think of myself as a "spiritual person". There is something about Morning Glories that makes one think the light of ..... something .... ... some power .... is shining through to you!

Sunflower has just opened:

I have almost 100 sunflowers at this year. If weather stays enough warm... I will have a lot of extra sunshine in my garden.

The blue, white and yellow morning glory is a new variety to me - lovely!

I finally saw a hummingbird on my Scarlet Runner Beans last evening! Do you get hummingbirds in your garden, Saliha?

We haven´t hummingbirds in here. They don´t live in Europe at all. Sad, they look pretty.

That is a dwarf morning-glory. It´s flowers are smaller than those other Morning glory´s. There are also other color varieties:

So pretty, Saliha!

Here are a few pictures of my 2016 container garden.

My peppers did so well this year - the white/yellow variety is Sante Fe Grande - only mildly hot if I remove the seeds and membranes.

One of my sunflower plants is incredible! More than 2 dozen blooms and buds on one plant!

Garden is still flowering at September:

I harvested most of the shark fin melons yesterday and got about 30 kg. Still few are growing but not long as nights are many times quite cold.

Saliha, your sunflowers look so sturdy without being staked. I usually have to stake mine - partly because the damned squirrels run up the stalks and eat the seed heads!

Hummingbirds are native only to the Americas. In fact when the Spaniards first saw them they thought that they were a kind of bumble bee because they were so small.

No, pumpkin spice flavor isn´t familiar in our kitchen. This jam includes pumpkin, lemons and sugar and is good for filled cookies.

I´ll post recipe.

I was cleaning today the compost beds and suddenly found few more shark fin melons. They were growing under the leaves and I hadn´t noticed them before. Here come the last ones of this season:

2,5 kg

from 300 to 400 grams

The biggest one feels very ripe - when I pat it, it´s like a small drum.

*goes patting melons*
