As of now I'm not sure what dinner will be.
If it doesn't get to hot in here I would like some pasta.

Went for a drive to cool off a bit.

Stopped at a favorite Jewish bakery and picked up a loaf of seeded rye, a piece of crumb cake and a couple cinnamon rolls.

Corned beef is in the Instant Pot. Corned beef sandwiches and crumb cake for dinner.

Right now, the plan is Ninja.
I want to try their new House Ramen and/or the new Norigami wrap.

Craig made chicken and andouille sausage gumbo over rice for us. I had to help a little, but mostly got the night off.

Boy! I'm glad I only got the cheese wonton appy prior to this.
This huge bowl of ramen was more than enough.
By the time I fished out the bok choy, bean sprouts and some chicken, I was stuffed.
I asked for a take home container.
Having the wrap too would have really been too much.

That does look good!

Karen, that looks interesting. Do I see cheese in there?
Sass, I wish we had good Asian food near here. All we have are buffets.

I channeled Larry. I cooked a prime New York strip steak sous vide to 127F, then seared it in cast iron. It was a pound and 3/4, and about 2inches thick, so we both had 3 slices and saved the rest for another meal. Sauteed mushrooms in a red wine demi glace and a big salad finished the plate.

Dinner was fresh grilled burgers and sweet corn....

Lunch was a can of celery creamed soup, and crushed crackers.
Tina won't let me crush the crackers in my soup when we go to like a diner.
I tell her...."God made Hands, before he made food processors!"

I actually just wrote the recipe up yesterday afternoon after I put it into rise. I tweaked the original recipe from Cook's Country because I thought the chunks of meat were too big (they did 1/2 inch), as well as a bit skimpy, and I added more of the cheese because it was skimpy the first time I made the loaf. I'll post in a minute. Also, their recipe made 2 loaves and that was just too much for me and Craig. Neither of us are fond of bread out of the freezer unless it gets toasted and this is best eaten fresh anyway.

I'm on the 10a-10p shift today.
I've got some leftover ribs and tomato salad to take along.
After today, I've got 6 days off.
Lots of cooking will be happening!

Mmmm dinners look great!

Love your thin-sliced zucchini, Sass! I never thought of cutting them that way before grilling.

Med, would you please post a recipe for your Mexican soup?

Thanks!

Our power went off for about an hour. There were so many outages around us. PSE&G was working on the major roadway by my house. I guess they needed to turn the whole area off while they were working.

We decided to order heros. Hub got an Italian and I got sausage, peppers and onions.

Had mac and cheese, and Italian meat balls that I mixed and fried last night.
Ice cream sandwiches for dessert....
