Sausage Balls

Sausage Balls

1 lb. pork sausage
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. sage
Form into small balls, brown and cook til done. Drain well.

1/2 cup catsup
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. vinegar
1 T. soy sauce
Mix together and pour over sausage balls simmer for a few minutes to heat through.

I usually triple this recipe because they go fast!

Yum, homecook!

I don't have patience to stand there and brown stuff. How about I toss the meatballs and sauce in a crockpot and cook them through that way?

Too greasy?

Try it......it really isn't that greasy. I use the Bob Evans sausage so I don't know if that makes a difference. Let me know if you try it in the crockpot, I'll go that route myself. lol
I also bake them in the oven on my broiler pan. I can fit alot more on that than in my frypan.

It comes in a 1 lb. tube. Or you can use link sausage and just remove the casing. I use Bob Evans brand but don't know if you can get that there. It's a breakfast sausage. HTH

it is fantastic people! seriously! i tell her to hide it for me when she makes it - you really cannot eat just 1 or 5 or 10!
