🌹 Still trying to get it right.
what_have_you_eaten_week_cherry_blossom_plate.jpg

I am having a hard time getting to sleep tonight due to joint pain and congestion.

So I figured I'd start the week early.

I'll be go food shopping in the morning so who knows what dinner will be.

I am leaning towards homemade chicken soup. It's been 3 weeks and I just can't shake this cold or whatever. And I think it has moved to my ears. UGGG!

My youngest son is doing ribs on the grill this afternoon.
I'll stop at Kroger and get his favourite pasta salad from the deli and a cherry cheesecake.

Lunch for me was pan fried skirt steak, rotisserie chicken breast and a cup of tea with honey & lemon. Hub and DD also had deli potato salad with their steak & chicken.

It will probably be Baked "Asian" style wings, asparagus, jasmine rice and some dipping sauces for dinner.

Greek lamb meatballs in orzo with tomato, feta, mint garnish.

First time for a char on cabbage !

I will try to make the Baked "Asian" style wings, asparagus, jasmine rice and some dipping sauces for dinner tonight. Unless someone changes my plans. :blob_blue:

Decided to mix marinara and alfredo for a rose sauce.
Very good this way.
Put the broccoli on the side, along with garlic/parm bread sticks.
Paper plates sent home with me yesterday from sons house.
I'll use them! Lol

Margherita galette with country fried potatoes , butter poached eggs and blistered, homegrown, truffle salted shi-she-to peppers (spelled phonetically, shi-shi-to is correct spelling and hyphenated to avoid bad word censor). I got "lucky" and apparently got the only spicy 1 in the bunch.

I love the look of that galette, Medtran.
It all looks good.
Eggs go with just about anything.
Very nice plate of food.

Lunch was leftover tacos from the other day.

Supper, was a can of sardines, and a slice of stale rye bread.
Mommy Tina made a lemon chiffon pie. Had 1/4 of that with a Krispy Kreme fresh brewed coffee.

It was kind of a cobbled together meal. I usually make 2 of the galettes, but only had enough of my Everglades tomatoes for 1, plus we had been looking forward to trying the shi-shi-tos.

RATZ !

I just erased my pics in error from the camera..........

Alfredo was good , maybe I can get a shot of the leftovers..........

Not so pretty as the original, but ........

Chicken Alfredo with Bacon, over P.A. Dutch Noodles...

One of the first grilled dinners of the season: flat iron steak, veg. kabobs, grilled romaine Caesar salad.

And grilled pineapple with chipotle spears for dessert.

Yes. We've never been able to find them locally so I ordered some seeds. Apparently, spicy ones are few and far between. I just got "lucky." It wasn't blistering hot, but definitely had more heat to it than the rest of them did. I blistered them on stove top with some EVOO then used the truffled salt.

I made homemade yogurt and homemade lemon curd yesterday.
I will be making homemade strawberry/rhubarb compote tomorrow.

Chicken wings and jasmine rice for dinner last night.

Tonight I made homemade chicken veggie soup over brown rice.

i'm hungry again-- this happens most nights..... sigh; i'll have cake w/ berries (strawberry/blueberry) & a can of redi-whip-- well, not an entire can; a swirl--
