I planned to make fried flounder, steak fries, hush puppies (I’ve never made them before), and homemade coleslaw (for hub and DD#2, cabbage salad for DD#1 and I). But who knows what will happen later.

After church I came home and made a Sunday roast with carrots, onions, and potatoes. Sorry that I never got around to taking a picture. It was tasty.

We call it seared Italian Steak.
Cast iron skillet, with sliced ( 1/4 ") top round from the butcher shop.
Seasoned with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic granules.
Oh My Goodness. It was so tender, I can cut it with my fork.
French fries ( frozen Orida ) , and corn on the cob.

You've gone all southern with that meal :). How did you prepare your flounder?
Thank you Cooksie.

Marinade in milk with lemon juice added (sour milk). Next time I may use buttermilk which is almost the same. Then a dredge in flour, cornmeal and seasoning. Shallow fried in peanut oil. The first run of hush puppies (I added some chopped chives to the batter) was good but they didn't come out round. They looked like potato pancakes. LOL Family liked them.

I had to look up your Johnny Marzetti, Sass. Looks a lot like American Chop Suey, which I love (who doesn't?)

Did you use tomato soup or cream of chicken?

Yes, both.
Tomato in the ground beef mixture.
Cream of mushroom in the noodles.
