I don't know what is wrong with your plants, but since you have such nice and clear photos, I would post them on a garden forum or send them to the Cooperative Extension Service, for their opinions.

You will never find ww pastry flour at Wal-Mart. I have only found it at specialty shops. Have you looked for the white soft flour LOL? It usually comes in a 2 # box labeled "Swans Down" cake...

I'd cut it in half and bake it. That is the easiest way to deal with the skin. Just scoop out the flesh after it is baked. Oil the cut sides and bake it cut sides down.

LOL, I honestly don't know, but I suspect it is not. I also have another HP printer only, a DeskJet 1120C, and I am guessing that one is an ink jet because of the "Jet" in the name of the printer.
