View Full Version : Tomato Bacon Gravy

3 slices of thick bacon, cut into small pieces
2 green onions, chopped
2 T AP flour
28 oz can whole tomatoes-drained and chopped
salt and pepper

Fry bacon til crisp. Stir in green onion and cook until soft.
Sprinkle in flour..stir and cook for about a minute. Add tomatoes and simmer til reduced and thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.

and what do you use this for? pasta? i am sure there are other uses. dish!! LOL

Over cubed steak, as in making swiss steak ;)
Gorgeous over mashed potatoes too.

aw, sass! that sounds deeee-lish fer taters! my Mum & Dad make that with swiss steak & taters, except for bacon!
