Is "fresh" dried fruit an oxymoron ?

I opened a few boxes of dried fruits to make a mixture (one for home, one for work) and it was too full to close properly so I rubber banded it, then slipped it inside a plastic bag.

Was that dumb ?

Fresh dried fruit could be but if it is fresh when they dehydrate I guess it is a true statement. I wouldn't know but can't believe putting it in a plastic bag would cause any problems unless the bag was wet.
