May your stuffing be tasty. May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious. May your pies take the prize.

Thanks Jim and Nica!! Same to both of you!!

On a side note; I am looking particulary foward to this Thanksgiving. I am over 7 months pregnant and have been very good at controlling the urge to "eat for two", however, I will NOT hold back this Thursday :D

YES, definitely Saturday too!!! That's the one I am looking most forward to. I just didn't want to confuse any members by saying that I was pigging out Thursday and Saturday.

We do the same thing, Thursday one place and Saturday another with different branches of the family :chef:

Still looking for a free food place on Friday. :whistling:

are you smoking yours this year Nica? I'm hooked on the oven baked. Love it!

I bought a jar of that really dark store-bought beef gravy.

We're going to eat at McDonalds this season, which is just a few blocks from my home.

I'm going to microwave the gravy, wrap it tight, and just 'dip' my double-cheeseburger.

I believe my wife is going to strike out in her usual Thanksgiving pilgrimage to visit our Native American Peoples. She usually takes her sister to the Ho-Chunk gaming casino...

Thursday at a friends, "free range" turkey, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, bread stuffing, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, 3 kinds of pie, and a lot of other stuff.

We had planned a small family thanksgiving for today. We rescheduled for yesterday. About the same lineup as Thursday but a butterball turkey and cornbread dressing instead of bread stuffing.

Now today is for leftovers!

I lied. My wife and SIL bought a little "white meat only" cut of turkey and we had yams and whipped potatoes with it. They sprung it on me at the last minute.

I had my mouth all set for a double cheeseburger and beef gravy, and I got shorted out of it.

I actually miss the burger.

Things didn't work out as planned this Thanksgiving. Some complications, but fixed now.

Will get back on track with turkey smoking before Christmas. I still plan to do several.:chef:
