LANDOVER, Md., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Giant Food, following a recall by General Mills, announced it is removing 19 ounce Progresso Hearty Tomato Soup from sale. General Mills has issued a national recall of these products because they may contain allergens not listed on the ingredient label, specifically egg, milk, and soy.
The following products are affected by this recall: -- 19 ounce, Progresso Hearty Tomato Soup UPC # 4119691068
This voluntary recall includes only 19-ounce Progresso Hearty Tomato soup with the following code date printed on the bottom of the can: 19May10 NV VN-3.


Upon hearing of the announcement by General Mills, Giant immediately removed the items for sale from its shelves. Giant has not received any reports of illness or injuries associated with the consumption of these products.
