Is that 2 bags equaling 21.6 lbs, or 2-21.6 lb bags?
That price looks familiar, but I think around here it is 8 something for one 18 lb bag.

They're twin-21.6 lb bags, totaling 43 lbs. I used to buy these all the time at either Home Depot or Costco at regular prices. Now at almost half off I got 5 twin paks.......enough to last me til Christmas...:D

Can't tell by the pic, where did you get em? Kinda looks like Home Depot, but not sure!

Home Depot is right. That's the classic Home Depot price sticker on their orange colored pallet rack.

Hey FooD, Did you bring those home on the back of your bike?

I was there and saw that deal. I opted for Kingsford's new "Competition" charcoal big disappointment.
It is no better.

How did you know I rode my bike to work yesterday? :D
As far as their new Competition charcoal, being a charcoal NooB, I really couldn't tell the difference the last time I used them...

Neither can I. They neither seemed to last longer, nor were they and hotter. for twice that price. I think you got the better of the deals.

it depends on how you are using this charcoal Andy... if you use it for low and slow(for which it was developed) it works great, less ash build up and better flavor(so i have heard..lol) but really not worth the prices IHHO
i will stick with my Royal Oak

Awsome :)
I picked up more on Tuesday. In fact, I'm picking up some more this morning on my way to work if they're still available. There's a Home Depot just a couple of blocks from where I work.
This is almost like buying some cheap beaten down stock...

I just got the HD flyer in the paper today and it's advertised for $15.97. It's still a $1.00 cheaper than Sam's Club.
Yep, they're back to $15.97. Oh well, I'll load up again if and when they put them back on sale again which most likely may occur during the July 4th weekend. In any event, I'm satisfied with the current stockpile which I already picked up (10 twin paks).
This was definitely a home run deal.....although my wife thought I was crazy, considering my substandard grilling skills....
I told her they were practice coals..... :D

Awwwwwww, good attitude, FooD! Stick with us - we'll make your wife proud of you and your grilled food!
