If interested in being a mod...
Me? A mod? Yikes, now that's frightening.
Okay guys, I put a new style on net car stop.
I liked it at first but after working with it wonder if it might make users not like the site. It features a dark blue background with liight blue print.
Please take a look and offer your input on whether or not this style is a keeper.
Thanks!!!!
Here is my play car. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/530508

Yes when I turned 50 I told my wife I wanted a younger woman and a red sports car. I got a stock mustang with permission to modify it but I still have the same woman. So much for getting what one wants. :whistling:
To my way of thinking you are lucky to have even gotten one of the two in your request. You were playing with fire buddy!!!! :yum:
Yes but my minimum requirement for a sports car was a Corvette not an American Iron car like a Mustang. At any rate I got the Mustang with very low mileage and now after major modifications it will out handled the best Corvette. I built it to road race and as it turns out it fits perfectly into the American Iron class of car with 400 hp and 3K lb car. I still have a little work to do and it now needs a paint job which I will probably do this winter when I have it off the road. I also have a cobra brake conversion setup with 13" cobra disk brakes all the way around on hand that needs to be done as well as buy some tires and wheels for that setup. The conversion does away with the 4 bolt, 15" wheels, rear drum brakes and converts it all to the much better 13" disk brakes on all 4 sides, 17" wheels with 5 lug and way better stopping power. I also have a roll bar to install but that is basically a bolt in job though I will weld it off once installed.
I've only taken it out to the drag strip once in current trim and turned a mid 11 sec time on both runs with street tires and road race suspension. Top end is close to 150 mph and with the larger radiator can run there all day long without much problem. All in all it has been a fun car to build but it isn't my first since I had a few cars I raced in my younger years. Some of which I wished I still owned.
Wow, sounds Kewl. 400+hp in that mustang!! Man I bet that would fly.

It is typical America Hi po car though I've owned a few that are a lot faster from a '55 Chevy that ran low 10's in a quarter mile to a 427 vette as well as a 427 cobra (the first ones built). All where great cars in their own rights even some of the street iron I've owned such as a hemi cuda, 442 olds, GTO, Buick Grand Am, several corvettes (57 though 63), 57 Nomad Wagon, 2 Angela (English Fords), 40 Ford, 32 Ford Coupe and a 23 Ford T bucket. As I said I've owned a few cars in my life but for every car I've owned the same in motorcycles some of which where made before I was born never mind you guys.
I also built the first road racing Chevy Vega in the USA with the aid of Don Yanko, Crane Engineering building a 375 horse 4 cylinder engine with a single 4 barrel carb. It was capable of 170 mph top end speed but sure wasn't street drivable due the fact it was pretty well stripped from nothing but racing. I've had a few other cars that I've road raced from a Porche, Toyota, Datsun 240 Z, Corvettes, BMW, MG, Austin Healey, as well as a couple of others I drove only including a VW Bug.
Joe, with all your car background I don't see you as a member of Net Car Stop. Are you going to join us over there? Sounds like you have some interesting stuff you could share if you have the time ....
I haven't decided yet as I'm no longer really into it like I used to be. Right now I'm looking to buy a new daily driver since my old van gave up a rod this last week. I probably will though after things quiet down around my home/work. I live where I work and it has been a busy month for us.

Doc, as much as I love "bending the ear" of anyone near me on the subject of motorcycles, I'm also in the time of year where bikes get put away for the season. (And I haven't even decided on what modifications I'm planning to do.)
Besides, being cold and/or wet makes bikers nasty and unruly--I mean more than normal.
I've got a mug full of latte' here (my second or third) and I'm planning on going out into the world. I'm not sure the world is ready.

Others said they saw the site as under construction. Not sure what's up with that. I hope the DNS issues are now sorted out.
Please let me know if you see more and give as much detail as possible ...and I'll try to figure out whats up.
