Marinated Grilled Zucchini

2 medium zucchini (6-8 inches long)
3 tbsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled, or 1 tbsp. chopped fresh oregano
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Combine marinade ingredients in a shallow glass or ceramic dish and put zucchini, cut side down, in dish. Refrigerate at least one hour. Prepare grill for medium heat. Arrange zucchini on grill cut side down and grill about five minutes. Turn cut side up and cook another 10 minutes or until tender but not soft, basting occasionally with marinade.
