Peanut Butter and Jelly

2 slices bread of choice
3-4 TB peanut butter of choice
1-2 TB jelly

take peanut butter, spread onto one slice of bread.
spread jelly on other slice of bread.
place covered slices together, slice diagonally or vertically.

great with a glass of milk!! :chef:

I use to love twelve grain bread with crunchy Jiff and a good apricot or raspberry preserves. Sometimes, I would make a double decker with three slices of bread. MMMMMM

When I made a peanut butter and jam sannie for our Leeanne for the first time, she balked at the idea knowing it was a classic American favourite.:tongue:
Once she tasted it, she told all her friends about it.
So, there were plenty of American made pbj's at a lot of UK sleepovers in West Yorkshire after that lol

Grilled peanut butter & Jelly is wonderful if you've never tried it. Like dessert. I like the old fashioned peanut butter (with the oil separated) that you have to stir before use. Refrigerate it and you won't have to stir it again.

Choice of bread (2 slices)

Peanut Butter
Jelly (any)

I just started shopping at Trader Joe's recently. I picked up Almond Butter and Peanut butter. Both are organic and sugar free. Also they have ALL the natural nut oils in tact and it needs to be stirred before use!! Like the stuff mom would get from the health food store when I was a kid!! People don't realize how much sugar is added to peanut butter AND the natural peanut oil is removed from the nuts and other oils are added. They sell the oil for frying. The flavor of organic Peanut Butter is amazing!! And there are only 2 ingredients: peanuts and salt.
