Cheese and Bacon Potatoes - TNT

1 900ml container Chicken Broth
5 medium potatoes, pared and thinly sliced (as if doing scalloped potatoes)
1 large onion, thinly sliced
½ lb bacon
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
flour for thickening



1. In a medium saucepan heat broth to a boil; reduce heat and add potatoes and onions.
2. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes
3. Drain and keep1 ½ cups of broth
4. Cut bacon into small pieces and cook until crisp
5. In about 4-5 tablespoons of bacon grease add flour to make thick paste
6. Then gradually add the reserved broth and stir continually until thickened
7. Stir in shredded cheese until melted
8. In a greased 2 quart baking dish, layer 1/3 potatoes, sauce and bacon. Repeat twice more. You can sprinkle the top with more shredded cheese if desired.
9. Bake at 400 F for about 35 minutes
