I don't have enough money to buy all sorts of elaborate equipment.you can buy the equipment to do this quite easily, all you`ll need after as the consumables will be the 12.5g (sometimes 8g) CO2 cartridges.
"soda stream" used to make a range of them.
Thanks Ron, I'm taking a look at.Yeah, to "brew" it or naturally carbonate it you'll end up with alcohol being present, and it's actually quite tricky to get the carbonation right without making bottle bombs.
Being a forced carbonation set up like an old soda keg from a homebrew shop or the like makes it very easy - mix it up, put it in the keg, and carbonate it.
A couple quick links for homebrew places that have kegs and soda making stuff.

And thanks Bam, I really like to get a basic recipe going first then add the carbonation.here is a friend of mines website, she makes all kinds of pop which include
Extract Soda Pop Recipes, Italian Style Soda Pops,Soda Pop from natural ingredients and a green tea soft drink.
She also explains how to keg beer and soda/pop
Yes it would but I'm trying to find a recipe that's basic soda recipe where I can add the fizz later, I'm also trying to find it so its a basic soda like dr pepperWouldn't it be easier to come up with your own syrup formula, then just mix with soda water? Like the "soda jerks" from way-back-when?
Thank you Ps, I will have a look see, but I want to create my own syrup recipe. One can get a root beer kit, here:

I have actually shopped there for candymaking supplies when I made my nieces lollipops. They also have been to The Fabulous Food Show with their different kits from making cheese to making bubblegum. It is pretty cool. Jim, the owner's husband is a really nice guy and is very helpful.
Maybe I will just get a basic root beer kit and then add my own flavors. You're probably going to need cola beans, various fruit juices, and/or extracts.
I've been trying to find a basic syrup on google but can't find a single one.I'd just do the syrup thing then mix it with sparkling water.
