I had to get rid of my other small one since I pretty much wore it out. Hopefully this new one can handle my abuse. :chef:
Goodbye Junior, we had fun while it lasted.

My chargriller is pretty much a full time smoker except on Mother's Day where we have both sides of the fam over and I do burgers and brats for about 40.
The rest of the time I use my Weber Kettles. It's the only way to go...

What is that, a miniature BBQ (smoker)? It looks pretty nice. Built in drip tray even.
Sweet.

It’s a grill for cooking with direct heat. It’s got a 14.5” grill. It’s Weber’s table top grill solution, and it works great.

Thanks K. I thought it was a smoker of some sorts cuz of the forum. Like some kind of version of that cobb grill/smoker.

High Cheese, use it in the best of health! Having beat up the other one, I am sure this one will get a lot of good use as well!

Thanks all! The grill works great! The materials seem pretty decent, plus it's nice to know there's one still being used after 6 years. I plan on a couple mods, maybe turning it into a hybrid. I forgot to get a temp guage for it....next trip to Lowes.
I love the small charchoal grills because you can get the food right next to the coals for some awesome carmelization.
My Chargriller is mainly a smoker, but I have used it as a grill. I just dump coals right in the main chamber. Only problem is it's a pain to heat up the big 'ol grill since I only cook for two. Having the smaller grill is awesome! Less charchoal, higher temps and faster warm-ups.
I could literally sit there and cook bits of meat on it all day. lol So much fun.

They are a blast, and you’re right, perfect for cooking for two people which is mostly what I do. I just made this last night (http://www.netcookingtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5237) in my Smokey Joe.
I’ve had mine for over 7 years and use it A LOT! But, DW just bought me a new one this past Thursday (and I’ve already used it twice!). The 7 year old one is still fine, but is showing it’s age. The charcoal grate has thinned out and rusted, but still holds coals. The cooking grate has built up a near cast iron patina, but that's fine too.
The porcelain body is near perfect though. No dings, rust, nothing. I could actually give it a good bath right now, polish it a bit, buy new charcoal and cooking grates, and it would pass for one that is less than a year old. Tough little cooker.
I’m keeping the old one to use for lighting charcoal for my DO and smoker. It’s still got lots of life and use left in it…..but DW wanted a “pretty” one since Spring is coming.

I had one of those once that I used a lot. I took it to my gf's apartment, and one day some idiot roofers covered it with tar. Needless to say I was pissed...
mmmm! I can just smell those peppers, zucchini and lamb chops, HC!
Congrats on your new little baby, Joe! :-)
