1 c shortening
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c sifted flour
3 c quick oats
Nuts, raisins (optional)
Cream shortening. Add sugars gradually and mix well. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Stir in sifted soda, salt and flour, then oats. Form into small balls and bake at 375F for 10 to 15 minutes. Nuts and/or raisins may be added.
