An interesting PDF E-book has recently come across my desk(top).

It's a Book by George Washington Carver titled
How to Grow the Tomato and
115 Ways to Prepare it for the Table

It's available to whomever thinks they can use it...... PM me an e-mail addy and I'll fire it off to ya.

Do I have to have a PDF for it. I don't, but read all the old TNT stuff I can find.
Oh well. Very generous of you, lt.
I just found a new bee raising site that sounds interesting too.

Thanks for the tomato book, Lucky. I've begun reading it and am fascinated to learn more about Mr. Carver. Amazing guy for his time.

Hey Luck.
I had a change to read the whole thing today.
I had no idea of all the things he did. Or lived til 1943.
Didn't know:
velvet beans,
vegetable calomel
lignin
ersatz.
Tomato Tips were interesting about lopping off the tops and replanting them.
Method #2-Extending the Season. That's incredible.
And liked 7 of the recipes as new ones.
But boy, did he like to use butter!

Thanks so much for an interesting read. Quite enjoyable.

I've used the "lopping" method to get an extended season for my tomatoes. Works quite well.

As per the butter, maybe he was related, somewhere down the line, to Paula Deen.
