Swiss Turkey Ham Bake

In a skillet cook
1/2 c. chopped onion in 2 T. butter or margarine
till onion is tender but not brown.
Blend in
3 T. all purpose flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
Add
1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, undrained (2/3 c.) (I use fresh)
1 c. light cream
2 T. dry sherry
Cook and stir mixture till thick and bubbly.
Add
2 c. cubed cooked turkey
1 c. cubed cooked ham
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced (2/3 c.)
Put into 1 1/2 qt. casserole; top with
2 oz. process Swiss cheese, shredded (1/2 c.)
Mix
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
3 T. butter or margarine, melted
sprinkle around edge of casserole. Bake in a 400° for
35 min., till lightly browned.
