This was in last weeks Purcellville Gazette.

preheat oven to 450F

1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
pinch baking powder

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and baking powder. Stir. Add flour to right consistency. Put in refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours. Before rolling out the dough, let the dough thaw until dough os soft enough to roll. Roll dough to an inch thick (they do not expand) Cook 10 minutes. Let cookies cool before decorating with icing or sprinkles if desired.

Makes about 12 cookies
