Hey, why don't you properly introduce yourself and tell us why you are here. You need cooking tips? Have a falling out with the other mods?
What is your story?

Susan,
Are you 100% sure this is who you think that it is? If you are then fine. If you are not, and perchance it is not, is this how to welcome a new member?
Sorry, I do not mean to be sharp.

All they have to do is reply. They know we have an introductions forum. I have been waiting patiently to hear their story.

Susan - last post in this thread for me. I really am not confrontational there are 71 introductions of new members, I just counted them, according to the bottom of the main forum, there are 347 members. Not everyone writes one.
Plese let's not make an issue of something that is not an issue.

Oooh, a heated debate about a teapot! Let me guess, someone was arguing that not all teapots are short or stout? :yum:

Yes, pour Keltin a stout one. I shall just wait patiently for a reply and have a nice cup of hot tea.

I emailed Kitchenelf about this, and she says it is NOT her. She's never come across as one to lie, but rather one to stand her ground, so I believe her. This must be someone else trying to stir the pot. Petty, sad, but I believe true. So let's move on!

Well, I also didn't properly introduce myself, so...my name is gadzooks, and I'm a...a...a cook. There, I've said it. Halloooo to everyone, and greetings to our newest member, whoever you are.

Hello gadzooks and welcome! Why not go to the Introductions thread and make a proper intro?

As I said, it doesn't really matter with a name like that. Either way it didn't bode well given the bad blood between the two communities. I agree Keltin, let's move on.

Hey Adillo, I thought you said you weren't gonna visit this thread again. LOL!
By all means, get the guy a drink, will ya!
Welcome Kitchen-Elf, who ever you are.
I googled Kitchen-Elf and that other forum did not even show up on page one of results. Just goes to show it very well could be someone no one here knows yet. If it is, I dare say they were probably scared off.
I want this to be a friendly forum. No matter what name new members choose please welcome them with open arms. We have nothing to hide. If they like it here they'll stay. If they don't they'll never post.
Please welcome all new members and give them the benefit of the doubt. Time will tell their true intentions.

susan, with (my honest) due respect, you need to let this go. you say you are, but this thread was a bad idea, imo.
as far as i'm concerned, there's no bad blood between sites. if elfie wanted to join without an intro, hmmm, maybe TO AVOID stuff like this, i would be more than thrilled to welcome her. i miss her. and many people there who haven't come here.
if you still need to, take a note from a bobby sands' mural on a building in west belfast: our revenge will be the laughter of our children.
if you want to prove a point, do it by making this site better.
peacefully.
i'm sorry, i don;t mean to be preachy, but i get defensive about my friends. i hope you understand.

buckytom, you have the same freedom to choose your friends as I do. I like what we have here.
Further, last time I checked this was a place where one could speak their mind--you just did. Allow me the same freedom and we shall get along fine. I don't like living under the rules of Animal Farm. Oh, yeah, and one more thing, Happy Valentine's Day!
