Does anyone have a recipe for a really moist, spicy, appley cake? I have to make one for work and I want to knock the socks off the boss, lol :bb:

I posted a family favorite a while back.

There's another recipe that uses a cake mix.

This (http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/apple-cream-cheese-bundt-cake-50400000115369/) is on my "to do" list. It was on the cover of Southern Living Magazine. I haven't tried it yet but it sure looks good. Most reviewers loved it but a couple of people complained that it wasn't spicy enough so if you decide to make it, taste the batter and see it if it needs more spices.

Thanks Jim! What size pan do you use?

I think it fills a regular sized bundt pan, maybe 10 or 11 inches diameter?

Thanks HC!! Now my question is.....what kind of apples are the best for cake? I usually use Granny Smith's in a pie but I've not made an apple cake before. Should I use the same? I'm afraid I might pick the wrong apple and it will be meally.....:yuk:

You should be safe with Granny Smiths. They don't get mealy. Red Delicious gets mealy.
