Hot Toddy

I have a lousy cold that is mainly in my chest (probably bronchitis) and I'm coughing like crazy.

I found a recipe for a Hot Toddy that's easy and I love.

I hope I don't make a habit out of this, when I am well!

Hot Toddy

2 ounces whiskey (I like Jim Beam, but I'm drinking Seagram's 7 right now)
1 T. honey
4 ounces hot tap water
squeezes of lemon juice
cinnamon

Pour the whiskey in a large microwaveable coffee mug.
Pour in the 1 T of honey..
Pour the 4 oz of hot tap water over the honey spoon, in the mug (to get the last drops of honey off the spoon.
Squeeze in some lemon.
Sprinkle on some cinnamon (Vietnamese cinnamon is my favorite)

Microwave on high for one minute

I've been drinking these all week to knock out my cold. Your recipe is very close to mine, except I'm using Jameson's.

Hmmm, never had that. I don't know whiskey from shinola.

I think I'll try a nip of it, SS.
