At my place in Idaho itis snowing like hell and cold :snow:. Over 4 feet so far .
In California at my place it is raining ,cold and miserble:umbrella:.

At my place in Panama it may be raining :umbrella::beer::heart::), but it will be 75-85 degrees :fishing:. Wanna guess where I am headed for next week :thumb:????????heres a hint :

We had ice and snow last night. Roads were a nightmare.
More snow this morning, turned to rain this afternoon. Now it's going below freezing tonight. It's gonna get ugly out there. Glad I'm home for the evening.

Tornado watches and warning out tonight. Every time a commercial break comes in, it goes to breaking news instead with where the storms are now. Oklahoma has already had them on the ground. February and our temps have been in the 70's and a cold front coming through is hitting the warm temps. woohoo, nice evening tonight:huh:

It's 9:47 PM and I'm out on the lanai, wearing shorts, drinking wine, smoking a nice cigar, and the weather is typical at 65 F and no wind. SW FL has the best weather in the country from mid Nov until mid Apr, bar none. Tomorrow as today the high will be eighty as will the day after that and the day after that..... The rest of the year I'm outta here.

It's been crazy for a February in North Dakota. Two nights in a row, the temp didn't get below freezing at night. Last night, it rained off and on all night. Drizzled yesterday. Streets were pure hell! As the day wore on, the rain cut a lot of the ice/snow pack off of roadways, improving things a lot. Foggy this morning. They've been predicting 4-8 of snow, never materialized as that stuf stayed out west of us. Still calling for an inch tonight. We can handle that. It's bizzar for Feb. This is more like late March weather.

It was almost 40 yesterday but we had a little Alberta clipper move thru with an inch of snow..... it all melted luckily but now its 15 degrees headed for -3 tonight.

It was freezing cold and rained all day, growing colder and darker. Then, we had freezing rain with ice pellets. We are suppose to get at least 6-inches of snow. Being in the snowbelt, that means probably more. The roads were suppose to be black ice during part of the early evening and people had to have had a nasty rush hour. I took my mom to her drs appt by ambulette because I didn't wish to make things hard on her. She is still a bit weak. Usually, I drive her.

What CL said except it's up to 73.5 now and windy. Cold front gonna come through later. Tuesday AM low should be 41 which is downright wintery. This should be the last cold front to get this far south until November.

Our weather has been goofy this winter -- short periods of cold and rain followed by summer-like periods. We're in one of those summery times right now -- it was 86 at the Santa Monica Pier yesterday, a new record. Should be in the mid- to upper-70s here today, with mostly blue skies. But rain and more cold is possible tonight.

Boy Buzz, things have changed in a couple hours. Wind is gusting, clouds have moved in with a chill in them and we got some drizzle already. I guess Stacy blew hard enough and now we're gonna get it.

It was snowing here for awhile, but has stopped now. I shoveled out the front and salted it, but haven't done the back. May get to that tomorrow if I am feeling better. Supposed to be partly sunny, so maybe if it is warm enough it will melt away for me, LOL. Only a couple of inches, so that's good.

I caught some of this morning's TV news reports. It's funny how folks view 'bad weather.'

For example, in Madison we don't start to concern ourselves unless we hear the prediction of "blowing and drifting." The news that 2" to 4" of snow coming simply means I wear a jean jacket and fill my gas tank.

If we drop into single digit temperatures, I which over to a lined jean jacket. I have a hat in the truck if it gets below that.

Now, I heard Jay Leno once do a series of jokes about some intense rain that folks in Los Angeles was experiencing. He reported that traffic was backed up, people were skidding around and folks were almost in meltdown. From rain?

My inlaws live in Milwaukee. Not only do they get the storms, but they get "lake effect snow" on top of it. They usually opine that they might wait a bit on going to the grocery store to see how traffic gets. They don't cancel their plans, they simply delay them.

The article says 81, but it's 88 degrees here. I went food shopping and when I came out it was humid like rain, but no rain. So this 88 degrees feels alot hotter. A/C on and electric company loving it!

WOW TG I have to say I saw that picture and thought if I woke up to that at this point in the year I would cry.

I used to not hate winter... after living in TX I lost all tolerance for it. If I ever move again it will be somewhere with no winter if I have any say in the matter.

BBF... dont know how people tolerate the winters out there... the NE is more than I can handle. I love Chicago but don,t think I could ever live there.

You must not have been any where in the snowbelt! We get snow here in April alot of years. They've finally gotten smart and start our baseball season on the west coast because we've gotten snowed out too many years. Go figure!!

i got pelted on the way into work tonight. hail, thunderstorms, lots of rain. the west side highway was flooded pretty nicely.

i just missed hitting a truck that hydroplaned through a giant puddle and spin out right in front of me. the hail was so nasty that it was difficult for the driver and passengers to do that low, snapping fingers, cat walking thing as they got out of the truck.

(it was the west side highway, after all...)

Seems like we went from March to June. Sundays rain seemed to change our wind direction to from the north to from the south and things got real sticky here since.

my remarkable control of the weather continues.

today, it was supposed to rain by noon. after working all night, i didn't feel up to thatching and seeding the back yard first thing in the morning, so i just blew it off completely, thinking that i wouldn't have enough time to get it done after a few, scant hours of sleep.

of course, it didn't rain.

Weather on the Chesapeake in Baltimore....... Now that the planet is cooling.

Being ex-military I've lived in many places around the states and the one thing I can say about Baltimore is that the 4 seasons, for the most part are right on schedule. Summers, july-sept hot an humid. Autumn very pleasant, Winters can be cold( and I like it, makes a cup of coffee next to a fire very enjoyable) Springs, well last year and its feeling the same this year were the coolest in years.

No, monk seals are a protected species. We report to the authorities whenever Sam comes to visit and they place yellow tape around him to keep the people at least 6 feet away from him on all sides. It is illegal to approach a monk seal.

Alligator Alley (I75) was closed down yesterday due to smoke from the fires in the Everglades. The wind has shifted and is now out of the east and all the smoke is blowing into Naples. It's suffocating here. On the other hand it's gonna be 86 and sunny so if the breeze make a turn the day should be glorious.

Right now it's 68 and VERY hazy..... cough cough (and stinky)

68F at 0651. High today expexted to be 80F with winds from the SW at 20-30 mph. Will probably end up working on getting flower beds fixed up and ready for the annuals in a couple weeks. Always a chance of frost here till May 15th.
