Mornin' all!

Just registered, blame Buzz767 and Uncondrunum for letting me know about this group.

I frequent other forums as well and I believe that I was close to being asked to leave elsewhere after I asked what "playing nice" meant.

I make butcher blocks and cutting boards and have been since 1993. I went full-time professional four years ago after the last employeer decided to let the old guys go and hire new, cheaper guys. So far I have sold boards to 49 states in the USA, every Canadian province and 14 foreign countries. I enjoy doing what I do and it has brought me a lot of satisfaction as well and a lot of new friends. Hi David - The forum was a year old yesterday. The membership is still small at 143 but has been growing recently. It's a very fun place and admin and the monitors are actually on our side. When you read the posts you'll see that we are somewhat self-policing. Normally I'd be hanging out in the 'tools of the trade' section but until we get larger there's not enough action. I've been clicking on 'new posts' and can't keep up but through doing so I've become acquainted with many members I otherwise would not have met. This is an eclectic group. Enjoy.

OMG, I was just asking about cutting boards and your site was the first one given to me. Those boards are GORGEOUS!! I would love to get one, one day. Little pricey for me. I know they are so worth every dime, that's not what I'm sayin, lol. I just can't afford one right now. Property taxes and IRS, need I say more? Welcome to the forum!!! you will have to share any new designs you come up with.
