An unusual sandwich

This one is an open sandwich, but or someone with a bit o a taste for Marmite (UK) or Vegemite (Australia).
Take 2 slices of wholemeal bread, toast.
Spread with the Marmite/Vegemite
Spread avocado on top
inish off with sliced grilled tomatoes and a sprinkling of sea salt. YUM!

abi, I've never had marmite, and I understand it's an aquired taste. But once aquired, devotees are fiercely loyal to it!

I would try anything with avocado spread on it! :-)

Yes, Marmite is a yeast extract, it's very salty, and high in B Vitamins - you either love it or you hate it.
Australians have a similar concoction called vegemite - with a very similar taste and affect. :)
