Brief Description:
Hamburger with a Hawiian Twist.
Servings : 4 to 5
Prep time : 1 hour 15 minutes
Cook time : 7 minutes
Total time : 1 hour 22 minutes
Ingredients:
Burger:
1 pound of lean hamburger
2 T Teriyaki Sauce
1 small can drained pineapple
4 hamburger buns
4 slices of monterey jack cheese
4 slices of grilled sliced pineapple
Mayo
3 T mayonnaise
1/2 t of Teriyaki Sauce
2 T undrained crushed pineapple
Directions:
1. Mix in a bowl hamburger, teriyaki sauce and crushed pineapple until combined. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
2. Remove from fridge and form into patties. You will be able to make about 4 to 5 burgers depending on size you like. Place on grill and let cook about 7 minutes on each side for medium well burger. 5 minutes for slightly pink and medium burgers. As burger is cooking place slices of pineapple on grill and cook until each side gets a nice brown grill mark to it.
3. Remove burger and pineapple from grill and set aside. Place cheese on burgers so it will melt slightly.
Take a small fry pan and if you want you can brown your burger buns until they are a nice golden brown. Takes about 3 minutes for a nice golden color. Remove from pan and set aside.
4. Combine all maynonnaise ingredients in order until combined.
5. Build your burger. Bun, burger, pineapple, mayo, top bun. Serve and enjoy with any favorite BBQ Party side.
