happy anniversary to you and the mrs., joe.

did you hear the one about the woman who woke up in her bed, alone, on her 20th wedding anniversary.
she heard mournful sobbing coming from the living room, so she went in to investigate. finding her husband crying his eyes out, she asked what was wrong.
he said, "honey, remember 20 years ago, when your daddy caught us, put a shotgun to my back and said that i had to marry you or go to jail?"

"yes?", the wife replied.

"well", the husband groaned. "i would have gotten out today..."

Great Tom I often tell her a life sentence is about 27 years and if I had killed her when I meet her I would have been a free man now.

Divorce has never crossed my mind but murder has from time to time. ;)

My FIL used to tell my MIL he coulda done two terms at Reidsville and run off with the warden's wife in the 55 years they were married. He also claimed he hung around her that long to keep her from getting a good man for a husband, because she didn't deserve one.

Not any secret at all if you keep your sense of humor and don't let little things get out of control. We have worked together for the last 14 years so we have spend 24/7 with each other most of the time. We also keep each other laughing all the time at our little idiosyncrasies.

We got married when I was 17 and she was 16, had 4 kids in the next 5 years forcing us both to grow up and pool our resources. We never got that mine and yours attitude, it was alway us. Now are enjoying the time we have left with each other, as we are also best friends after all these years.
