That is the million dollar question. Wish I had an easy answer for you. Email folks you think might be interested. If it's allowed I post on other forums with links in my sig back to here. I've had limited success with that, but if more do it then it might have more of an impact. It's much like gossip with people telling a friend and they tell a friend etc. etc. .....

DC is upset about us recruiting there, apparently we are mining their database and recipes (some of us are spamming using the pm systems) - I didn't think we were in competition - surely members can exist on both sites.

I think it's 661 now but you can count on it being 660 before long. Last night I had a tirade thrown at me by an attention seeking nut case who is probably pushing the thread reload button right now waiting for a response from me that will never come. God, I'm glad to be here. Thanks for showing me the way Robsan.

That thread is a work of art.

A couple ideas to grow the membership would be to add some "content" articles, blogs, recipes, etc that would get some lookers. I don't know any thing about website creation or googleability but in my experience the forums that get the most traffic are the ones people fall into by accident. or end up in through something they were looking at and then find interesting

As a matter of fact suspect that DC creates posters with certain questions just for this purpose.... I do not suggest that but I do think finding ways to get eyes would keep things fresh

Sure, you can exsist on DC as well as here. We just got wacked for advertising this place.

Being able so send out those PM's and get all these people here was a HUGE BLOW to DC. They are lucky and still have the upper hand with Google. For now. But I can see NCT have more active members in the near future.

I did NOT advertise here. I was invited after alot of you were here.
I got dinged for crabbing about there over here I guess. Or for complaining about all the non-food related games.
Or was just on the BULK LIST. Who knows. It was time. And I have enjoyed here everyday more than any day I had there.
