Mine will probably be fried chicken and mashed potatoes (with chicken gravy) and green beans.
Guess I should go to the market sometime eh?
Think I'll enter mine tomorrow.
I like this challenge!

If you love this category, then all kisses, hugs and money goes to Andy, aka Adillo...this was born out of his desire to do a comfort food challenge.
Lou is voting for meat loaf and mashed potatoes.
I wonder if we should simply have a mashed potato challenge and have at it.

xxxooo to Andy:wub:
Mashed would work for me, however, I've got chicken on my mind for tomorrow.
:yum: it might be fried, it may be a whole roasted.. just depends on what I feel like doing in a clean kitchen.

I wonder if we should simply have a mashed potato challenge and have at it. Lou has good taste in comfort food. DW is making her turkey meatloaf now, and will bake it tomorrow when we get home from work (it's always better when it sits in the fridge overnight). I will be making the smashed taters.

Meatloaf is one of my favorites and I will say it again: Keltin's smoked meatloaf is just about one of the best things I have ever eaten. I have made it 3 times now I think. :)

Pretty hard to narrow down a list of favourites....but here's one of them.
Meat loaf with red gravy, mashed potatoes, niblet corn. I also had applesauce with this.

Oh no you didn't!!!! :w00t:
That is my favorite dessert of all time. It's one of the few desserts I eat. And I hurt myself when banana pudding is around! I could eat just that.....skip dinner, give me the banana pudding.

Mama, I keep coming back to look at that pudding! It's my fave too! I will be making that tomorrow. Can you believe I am the only one in my family that likes it?!?!?!?
Thanks everyone! I can't believe you are the only one in your family who likes it mhend. I thought EVERYONE liked banana puddnin'!
You sound just like DH, Keltin. I have to watch him whenever I make it. I make it in a 9 x 13 baking dish and he will eat 1/2 of it in one sitting if I don't stop him and then he'll whine saying he feels sick :twak:

LOL Mama!
That's because it is so dang good!
Whoever thought up the recipe deserves sainthood, by the way.. where did it originate?
Anyone know? As far as I know it used to be and probably still is on the back of a Nilla Wafers box as it has been for years.
I have no idea where it originated. I think it may be on back of the nilla waffers box though. Mine is a little different than theirs, I put a graham cracker crust on the bottom of mine.
