After the above was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:

Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told Sarah how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had. Then I found one more in the back room, and several people were fighting over who would get it. Sarah's picture does NOT show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Smith

I doubt most of you are old enough to remember Art Linkletter show where he had a segment that he interviewed children call Kids Say the Darndest Things. They really do and in some cases I'm sure it lead to a few divorces never mind their parents embarrassment. There are some on youtube if you want to check them out.

hehe.... my middle one... 5 last week
I've told this before but its too funny.....
we went a month or so ago for his kindergarten screening (which pisses me off but that's another thread)
and at one point, he has to stack blocks. he did the first 2 stacks just fine, the last and more difficult stack he has to copy.....
and he stops right before he puts the last block on.
My heart stopped, I thought they were gonna put a label on him right there RED LIGHT SPECIAL ED SHORT BUS....
but he looks at the testing lady and says,
"you know, I really love my mom."
lady smiles and says "yes i bet you do!"
Nathan starts to continue.... stops again.... oh crap....
"but, i really DONT like my Dad."
oh shit. the lady perks up like she gets to pick up the red phone and call child protection.....
"why is that?"
nathan puts his block perfectly in place and says.....
"because he makes me and my brother clean our ROOM!"
whew.
