Be sure and click on "new posts" every once in awhile Shep. There is quite a combination of interesting and funny stuff. The people here are waaay laid back, and some who don't share the attitude have already left. :thumb: This place is the best.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys/gals:tiphat:
I like to joke around alot, life to short not to.....
aside from that, I'm no BS when it comes to knives-- there's too many myths/legends/half truths out there that confuse people.
now, who has the beer......and the kimchee:D

I have the beer, Buckytom is the resident kimchee expert.
For a spicy dish, I'd recommend a light pilsner or cream ale style beer. Fairly light, not real hoppy (The hops interact with the spicyness), but matches up well and cleans the palate. Tsing Tao is a fav, along with Kirin Ichiban if you can't get a micro or homebrew.

yes....I make my own beer, saurkraut, kimchee, pickles
those darn koreans got me hooked on anything pickled, especially garlic
Welcome Sam and I think you will enjoy it too.
