So, Aerosmith's Dream On was just on the radio.... I've always wondered... did Steven Tyler sing the lead on that? It barely sounds like the newer stuff. Or did the years of party life change his voice........

OH, and Mav, pretty funny.... smokin' in the boys room was next song!

You were very close, here is the wiki on it.

"Dream On" is the first single (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_%28music%29) by Aerosmith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerosmith) from their 1973 debut album, Aerosmith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerosmith_%28album%29).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_On_%28Aerosmith_song%29#cite_note-0) Written by lead singer Steven Tyler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Tyler), this blues-influenced power ballad became their first major hit. Released in July 1973, it peaked at #59 nationally but hit big in the band's native Boston, where on the less commercial top 40 station WBZ-FM it was the #1 single of the year (#5 for the year on WRKO-AM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRKO) and #16 on WMEX-AM). The album version of "Dream On" (4:28 as opposed to the 3:25 1973 45rpm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramophone_record) edit) was used for a 1976 single re-release, which climbed to #6 on Billboard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_%28magazine%29)'s national chart in the first half of the year. This song was first played live in Willimantic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willimantic), CT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecticut) at the Shaboo Inn.
