No, nothing serious, no prayers needed. But listen to this:
I get woke up at 5am yesterday because the flashing lights from a cop car woke my daughter. I go outside to investigate, turns out a water pipe burst and was sending water gushing all down the street. Took em most of the day to fix it, while we had no water, but they got it done! Now there is a big patch partially in front of our house and partially in front of the neighbors house made up of gravel. I am guessing it will stay that way until spring when they can properly patch it with asphalt.
Guess what happened last night? Yup, another pipe burst! This time in front of me other neighbors house. Now, they said they were trying to get a crew together to come out... but no one ever showed! Which I was expecting, after all it was Super Bowl Sunday!
Well, they are out there this morning tearing up the street once again to fix it, and of course no water again. I think I am heading out for the day to do some running LOL.
Two in a row, the foreman said in his 27 years he has never seen two in a row 'pop' like that!

Uh oh, Mav. This started happening in my friend's neighborhood and it turned out that all the pipes were sub-standard to begin with and they ended up digging and replacing all the water lines in the area. It was a mess for months. I sure hope that doesn't happen to you.

I'd rather lose electric than water - and often do. LOL!
But I keep every bleach bottle and laundry soap bottle, rinse and fill with water and put away.
I learned from having well water up north, when you lose electric, you lose the pump for water too.
And down here, especially Hurricane Season, ya never know.
Good luck Mav. That means no toilets either!!!:sad:

Well, its all fixed now and we have water back, but this time they left a mound of gravel where they cut into the street! Didn't even level it out!
I talked to the foreman again, and he said that they installed a new pumping house, and that may have put too much pressure on the system. That is too bad if they have to back it off, cause we have always had low water pressure here.
Ahh well, there are worse things.

Glad to hear you water is back on. I was wondering what you were going to shower with after that run. But didn't want to say anything. LOL!
