And while we're on the subject - the Report Post button is one of the most helpful features on the site. It's not just for reporting things that are upsetting or against forum policy. It's for communicating with the staff about any particular thing on the forum. For example, you could report a post if you think the poster has an exceptionally good idea. Or if you are worried that it could potentially be misunderstood. Reporting something simply makes sure that all mods are alerted to read that post ASAP. I would estimate that at least 80% of reported posts don't result in public action taken. But they all help us to be aware of things that might be brewing or may need action later. Also, please know that all reported posts are confidential. If action should have to be taken on a post, the poster is never told who reported the post.
