I know, it's a terrible picture, about three years old. Betty still had her old front end and I've lost a bit of weight.

But old bikers--the real kind--have a lot of bumps and scars and honestly earned gray hair.

Recently I sent a picture of my colors to Locutus. Every seam and patch has been repaired, re-sewn, replaced and patched. The proof of some real bad punishment.

I often joke, "And there was a human body in them at the time..."

I mainly do MX, but my friend (the other guy in the pic) got me into hare scrambles too. This year I plan on being very competitive and serious about racing. My goal is to trophy top 3 this year then move on to B class next year. I'm good enough for B now, but I think one more year of riding C is needed.

I love all bikes. I really want to pick up an old 70's (pre 75) MXer to restore and run at the Vet & Vintage day at my local track. There's a couple more pics in the "What do you drive?" thread.

Wow. What a coincidence. My Dad used to haul me around on an Indian in Bismark, ND. I bought my first bike when I was 16 and sold my last one ten years ago to a bro-in-law for a buck after a friend of mine (former national and world aerobatic champion) was hit on his bike and died a week later of internal injuries. That was it for me. I've owned all kinds of bikes but having been raised in Wisconsin I never owned a Harley. Actually, I sorta got close to it because my ex wife married into the Davidson family. :whistling:

My pics were lost three computers ago in a hard drive crash. I guess I have some hard copies. I'll have to find them and do some scanning.

Good thread guys. This is one of my favorite pics. We had a great day on the river and broke down. My brother was towing us to the boat ramp and his wife took this pic.
The most amazing part of the story is that we had the steering cable replaced the next morning and we were boating the next afternoon. Something we've never accomplished before or since.

Don't get me wrong, of course if you don't feel comfortable posting a pic, theres nothing at all wrong with that...I only asked because it sounded to me like you had posted one and I thought I had missed it somewhere. I love seeing the faces of who I talk to so I thought I'd ask....

I had deleted a picture at my old foodie site and someone else reposted it after I asked them not to. Pictures are easily photoshopped. As I am a lawyer, I do not want to give someone an opportunity to take an innocent photo and change it so that it is not so innocent. As a career woman, I consider those things.

Folks have lost their jobs because of photos they have posted online having a good time at parties. We live in a very different world today and I tend to be cautious when it comes to these things.

It's got more to do with me looking at barking dogs and their going silent,
And little kids looking at me and breaking out in tears.

The internet is just like real life, not everyone has good motives. However, as this is an anonymous medium it allows people the freedom to behave worse than the would in a face to face situation. Outside of shunning someone or banning them, there are no real consequences. Even with those solutions, there are folks who can get around being blocked and come back as a "different person". Sometimes to start over with a better motive and sometimes just to create more trouble.

That being said, I still try to give everyone the benefit of doubt and see good in everyone but I have had experiences online over the years that have made me more cynical.
