Congratulations. I remember when you started coming off. It is so good to see that it has lasted a year.

I envy you people as I haven't been able to quit and tried all the medical methods most of which made me smoke more. I've now cut down to half a pack a day instead of 3 pack but even that has been hard for me to do. It is my only addition though I my health is still good aside from sinus problems. The sinus problems are not directly related to smoking but the fact a farm tractor accident crushed my face when on my 12th birthday which was the least of my problems at the time.

holy shit!! Glad you're still here!!

It's very tough, that is true and if your heart is not 100% in it, you're not gonna stop. Sometimes, I STILL want one!!

Sometimes, I STILL want one!!

Maybe you need to taste one of my 25 year old Cuban cigars. No inhaling, no desire for the non filtered Pall Malls I smoked oh so long ago.

Almost wasn't but after 2 years in Duke University Hospital most in ICU, completely blind for 18 months of that, shattered jaws, teeth knocked out, nose crushed and left cheek bone turned to powder, 240 operations, followed but 4 years of out patient treatment and several more operations including removing my left eye, I finally said enough. I promptly made up for the lost child hood and lived again. Now all these years later I wouldn't have it any other way. I have had a ball in my 62 years and have sure done more that the average 6 people in those years.

Congratulations. I know how difficult it can be. I'm down to 3-4 per day from 2 packs, and have gained over 20# in the past 8 months. Damn, food sure tastes better w/o ciggies. DW quit about 18 months ago, gained 14 pounds and has lost 7 of it so far. Lots of work to get it off and keep it off.

Keep it up! You're an inspiration to the rest of us quitters.:applause::applause::applause:

Thank you!!
Buddy, I still wanted a cigarette, but, VERY easy to walk away. It's funny, today, my boss actually stank!! The smell always smelled good to me, even after a year and all of a sudden, it didn't AT ALL!!

Congrats to you, Stacy and Mav and Susan!!!

I'm in the Hall of Shame with the other smokers. Like most of them, I only smoke 1/2 a pack a day and it's been hell getting down to that. Ya'll give me hope that one day, I won't smell stinky anymore, either!
