One year I made a bunch of fingerfoods, including dessert, gave the kids grape juice in wine glasses.... that was fun...
.
One year I made a Red Velvet cake.....
One year he brought home a bottle of brandy and 9 months later came legogirl........

i'm working a double, i think.
if the weather's nice, dw and the boy will come into the city, and we'll go out for dinner. there'll be the ubiquitous flowers, of course. (strange custom, this giving the reproductive organs of another living thing as a gift, no?)
if the weather precludes it, then i have to spend some dinero on a gift.

How about this: A good piano player playing for about an hour and a half sheet banana cake with chocolate icing for my mom and her friends that says "Loads of Love, Susan" and decorated with flowers.
