thank you 3L.
we had a great time jeeks. the mountain was empty, and the conditions were great!
Nice family there Tom. :thumb:
My wife and I really don't take vacations but did go the East Coast Get together (ECG) from the knife forum at Warren's (UnConundrum) in Pennsylvania where we had a ball. Took my 16 year old grand daughter last year and she really had a great time too. The pictures from both years are posted http://picasaweb.google.com/unconundrum/KnifeMeeting51907# for 2007 and 2008 here http://picasaweb.google.com/unconundrum/Gathering2008#
I also got together with my 2 of my son's in North Carolina between Christmas and New Years but haven't gotten the pictures yet from them.
Great pics, BT! Looks as if you were all having a ball!
Welcome back and welcome to NC!

Vacation? What's that? I forgot what it is. I m so tired and would love to go somewhere. But we just cannot afford it now. And where would we go with all the kids anyways. I can't wait for them to be old enough to go to sleep away camp, so my DW and I can just go somewhere for couple of weeks.

Now I'm really homesick, BT. I do miss skiing alot.
Great family pics. And your son has your eyes and chin, your wife's cheeks. What a happy face!
A good time had by all. Good to see.
Thanks for sharing, bt.

would the last pic be of a roman aque or via duct, cara?
very cool.
Good pics Tom. Sure looks like fun. What a GREAT pic of your son on ski's. You'll treasure that forever. :thumb:
Mav, what a good looking crew you had with you. Reminds me of when my kids were that young. Congrats on quiting. Never go back.
Cara good pics. I've never been to that part of the world. I bet it was an interesting trip. Did you have to drive on the other side of the road?

When you post more than one pic in your post, yes, they will always be one right after another. It's a little more work but you can post one pic at at time so that you can make detail comments on each.
Plus we have a personal photo album that you can post pics in to share with the community. This is a new feature and I have not used it myself, but hope to get around to it soon. Feel free to try it out and if you get stuck ask questions about it ...I'm sure some members are ahead of me on this and will be able to help out.

it's a railway viaduct with no tracks on it anymore...
it was build in the early 20s of last century for pur last emperor, Wilhelm II, so he could travel faster to his hunting grounds in the Rominter Heide (Romincka Forest) in the far north east of the former german Reich
there are quit a lot of these hunting roads around G...
two other views of the viaduct
Cara good pics. I've never been to that part of the world. I bet it was an interesting trip. Did you have to drive on the other side of the road?
It was a great trip and we will go there again, that's for sure ;o)
But driving was on the same side as in german - right ;o)
I'll try the gallery soon I think ;o)
:pat: Duh! Sorry Cara, I did not notice that you live in Germany. Totally missed it. Whenever you come to the states you'll have to drive on the opposite side from what you are used to.
okay, Doc... maybe you had a hard night... but...
as far as I know you guys drive right, too - well, you did it 11 years ago when I last visited your country.... :D

I just got back from a month in Greece. DD and I went to visit my sister and her family over Christmas. I got some pictures, but havn't downloaded any from the camera yet - I've promised them to several folks around here, too, so I gotta get that done soon. Bought me a new digital SLR for the trip and the ones to come. h
This summer, I'm planning a trip to the North Central and Nort Western states, since I've never been in that part of the country to speak of. Plan to take a couple of months, and will get lots of pictures. Every day is a holiday now!

Just at the northeastern corner of Athens, about 2 k's off the National Road - near Ag. Stefanos, up in the hills (elevation 540 meters).
