Our dog is now quite old and on old age drugs. So he is slowing down and has bad days. Well he came down with a tummy bug yesterday. Fortunately DW wa working at home, so she could let him out when he needed to make the dash. She also got to wash down the patio.
So I get home and go through the evening. He is fairly settled and starting to eat a little. Then at about 11:30pm, he wakes up and wonders round. I don't fancy cleaning the carpets, so stay up with him till 2.30am until he went to sleep. I grabbed a few hours and came down to find a fresh very loose dump right by the door. Be still my heaving stomach to clean it up. I am also tired from the late night.
Got through my teaching day dashing forward and back at intervals to let the dog out - fortunately the tummy is sorted now. Got home about 4pm and totally forgot to take no2 to his violin lesson. Number 1 son then has great idea for fund raising involveing me baking 50+ potatoes to sell at lunch time, teaching a cooking lesson at the same time. He wants to arrange all the details & my brain is failing.
I have to stay up late agin for other reasons, so not looking forward to tommorrow.

ahhhh Mini... I'll be thinking of you and poor puppy...
Geez, mini!
Don't forget to take care of YOURSELF! Too many days in a row like that will wear you down and all kinds of nasty stuff can make it's way into your system (I speak from recent experience!)

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey 1st off Im damn glad to hear your doggie is feeling better now. What did you feed him/hr to make its stomach better?
Also, I feel there is time for potato bakin' for the school and then there is sleepy time. I know its not easy to do but when you are feeling bad, the family suffers, not just you so I strongly feel some R&R would be great for you! please get some sleep and keep us up-to-date on how things are going Miniman! :thumb:
Sorry to hear that Big guy! Hope she's better and you get a good nights sleep soon.
Hang in there. :thumb:

Sorry MM... does sound like it has been rough for you buddy. Specially tending to a sick dog that can't tell you much about what he needs. Hang in there, I too have an aging dog that loses his bladder from time to time.. I have to keep the steam cleaner ready at all times!

Oh miniman, I'll take all 50+ of those baked potatoes....just FedEx/DHL/UPS them right over here! We have NO russet potatoes in Mexico and I haven't had a baked potato in almost three years!
Sorry you had such a crappy day.

Didn't do a lot for his tummy, rest & provided lots of water.
The potatoes are for next Thursday, so should be recovered by then.

My daughter turned the page on her Happy Bunny calendar yesterday, and it had the rabbit sticking its head out of the john. The shirt read, "It's just one of those days!" And yes, it was, for her. So guess yours must have been one of those days. Glad the dog is doing better, hope your days are doing better too.
