View Full Version : Cream of Onion Sloppy Joes

1 lb ground beef
1 c chopped onion
2 T flour
1 can condensed cream of onion soup
1/2 c water
1/4 c ketchup
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp yellow mustard
ground black pepper
Brown beef and onion in skillet, then drain.
Sprinkle in flour- add water, heating to medium- stirring til it begins to thicken, then add soup, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper.
Serve on toasty warm buttered buns

They are Cooksie.
I also used to make what the boys called White Sloppy Joes.
Browned ground beef and cream of onion soup in the skillet-that's it.
Then put it on a buttered bun, add a slice of onion, mustard and american cheese slice.
Tyler used to say they tasted like a White Castle cheeseburger, hence the name White Sloppy Joes. :-)

I'll be trying this one. Lol--I live with a White Castle Cheeseburger maniac.
I will be trying both of these as last night was the first Sloppy Joe I've had in forever. They turned out great and I managed to eat two of them with spicy fries and baked beans. Thanks Sass.

This is great for a quicky lunch or dinner. We both loved the flavor. I used dollar rolls, so these were really cheesy. Yum.....will have again. Thanks Sass!
