How lovely, SS!

How did you get the oval shape and no "seams"?

It was a sourdough loaf - round shape. When I cut it, it just came out as ovals.

No seams is the tricky part. Cut a slit in the bottom crust (which is now on the side when it's laying down) about an inch or two long. Work your bread knife around inside until you create a pocket. Put the cheese in the pocket.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, then it is literally "stuffed"! Excellent!

I think all of the other "stuffed" French toast recipes I've seen are just sandwiches, coated and fried.

Nice job, SS!

Neat trick! I'm going to have to try that for a special occasion breakfast.

You're killing me here, SS! This is the most amazing French toast I have ever seen! I will make this, although it probably won't look quite as pretty. BTW, how did you sweeten the cream cheese? Just beat in some sugar?

Thank you, SS. I can't wait to have this.

(I misread your post at first and I thought it said confectioner's sugar and a splash of vodka. I thought that sounded pretty good, too.)
